  • 10 Apr 2018
  • 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
  • North Central Michigan College - Corporate & Community Education 1515 Howard Street Room 536 Petoskey, MI 49770

Getting ready to process grapes for the first time, expand your production, or want to pick up a few more techniques? This class will cover basic and advanced grape processing, specifically focused on making the most out of cold-hardy varietals. Everything from basic processing techniques to advanced acid management will be covered in depth. Methods to shape your grapes in to an award winning wine will be the goal of this course. Vineyard care and picking grapes at the appropriate time for wine will also be covered.

Please join us with Lecturer, Matt Killman, MSU graduate in Plant Biology who has worked for some of Northern Michigan vineyards where he has expanded his knowledge and has developed a creative approach to wine making, especially with the newly established Cold-Hardy varietals. He will chat with you on this evening some of his best observations and tips that you won't want to miss.
