The U-P Gumbo Band was formed in Marquette about six years ago to perform Louisiana music for Mardi Gras at the local Lagniappe Cajun-Creole Eatery, and they still perform there and elsewhere around the region. The Memorial Weekend Art & Wine festival is a two day celebration of regional art, music, food and wine.
