Come together for a Harvest Kick Off Gathering with the Michigan Wine Collaborative!

MWC is hosting this 2026 Vintage Celebration and Membership Drive event at North Farm in Suttons Bay Tuesday September 8th! Share space, harvest predictions, ideas for MWC projects, learn about MWC leadership opportunities, explore North Farm, and spend some time kicking it with your industry friends before we disappear into the vineyards and cellars.

We will be offering grazing fare. We are encouraging attendees to bring bottles to share along with a side paired with a wine they are bringing.

MWC members are warmly encouraged to attend and also invite potential members and/or sponsors! This is a great opportunity to connect with the membership and for those who are not yet MWC members to learn about the organization, network, share, and celebrate the upcoming vintage.

We will also be inviting members of the trade to this event. Please consider having some wholesale materials available for those guests.

Member renewals occur September 15th so this is a perfect time to get excited for another year of MWC membership, projects, and events OR to join the organization and get the absolute most of out of MWC membership!!

We are looking forward to hosting gatherings more often around the state to allow our members to share space and ideas. Please reach out to EMILY if you are interested in hosting a MWC member gathering.

Taste Michigan Invades the Eastern Market- AFTER DARK

Taste Michigan is heading back to Detroit’s Eastern Market for a special After Dark edition of Taste MI Invades the Eastern Market, bringing Michigan wine, local makers, art, and Detroit culture together for one night in Shed 5.

Presented by the Michigan Wine Collaborative and Canfield Consortium, in partnership with Cool Ass Detroit Stuff (CADS), the event will feature six wineries from across Michigan pouring more than 20 wines and giving guests the opportunity to meet the people behind the bottles.

Participating wineries include Amoritas Vineyards, Drew Ryan Wines, Lemon Creek Winery, Loose Cannon, Modales Wines, and Nitz Wines, representing wine regions and styles from across the state.

Admission to the event is free, with wine samples available for purchase using tasting tokens. Guests can sip their way through Michigan wine while exploring the vendors, art, music, and creative energy of Eastern Market After Dark and Detroit Month of Design.

The first 500 guests to pre-register will receive a complimentary commemorative Taste Michigan tasting glass.

A limited VIP Detroit Month of Design Wine Experience is also available for $50 and includes a commemorative tasting glass, wine tasting token, CADS bar drink ticket, massage by Sound System M.T., and a charcuterie plate by Chapman’s Cheese & Charcuterie.

Guests will have the opportunity to discover wines from across the state while coming together to support an important cause. The tasting will feature a selection of Michigan wines from participating producers including Social Vines, Rove Estate, and Flying Otter Winery, with additional wineries to be announced.

Whether you’re already a fan of Michigan wine or looking to discover something new, this fundraising tasting is an opportunity to meet Michigan wine producers, explore what’s being grown and made in our state, and raise a glass in support of the fight against cancer.
